Semi Finals: Preview & How To Watch Live

We’re down to the semi finals of the London Squash Classic 2026, as four players from the men’s and women’s draws bid to move one step closer to securing the first Gold-level title of the season.

Women’s World No.1 and the tournament’s top seed Hania El Hammamy squares off against England No.1 Gina Kennedy in the first match of the afternoon, before former champion Sivasangari Subramaniam locks horns with the reigning champion Amina Orfi.

Attention turns to the men’s draw from 17:00 where defending champion Paul Coll meets Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng and England No.1 Marwan ElShorbagy and France No.1 Victor Crouin face off for a place in tomorrow’s final.

Hania El Hammamy v Gina Kennedy

World No.1 Hania El Hammamy meets home favourite and England’s No.1 Gina Kennedy in the opening match of the afternoon.

The top seed for the tournament, El Hammamy boasts an unbeaten record over Kennedy on the PSA Squash Tour, winning all nine of their previous meetings.

After dispatching Aira Azman 2-0 in round two, El Hammamy came through a stern test from Amanda Sobhy in the quarter finals, holding off the U.S. star to progress with a 2-1 success.

Kennedy overcame Sana Ibrahim in round two and scored an upset by defeating No.4 seed Satomi Watanabe in the last eight yesterday.

Sivasangari Subramaniam v Amina Orfi

2024 champion Sivasangari Subramaniam takes on World Champion Amina Orfi for a place in tomorrow’s final.

Subramaniam, who had a memorable run to lifting the Gold-level title at Alexandra Palace two years ago, has won the last two meetings with Orfi on Tour despite the Egyptian teenager winning seven of their 10 clashes.

World No.5 Subramaniam hasn’t dropped a game so far in London, beating Nardine Garas and Anahat Singh by 2-0 scorelines.

Orfi, who became the youngest women’s World Champion last season, recovered from 1-0 down against home favourite Jasmine Hutton in round two before downing Tinne Gilis 2-0 in the quarter finals.

Paul Coll v Eain Yow Ng

Reigning champion Paul Coll will be aiming to secure back-to-back London Classic crowns, with Eain Yow Ng standing in his way.

New Zealand No.1 Coll has won 11 of the 12 meetings with Yow Ng on Tour, and he hasn’t dropped a game against the Malaysian since losing to him in round two of the Singapore Open in 2022.

Coll overcame two Englishmen on his way to reaching the semi finals – defeating Sam Todd 2-0 before beating former World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy by the same scoreline.

Yow Ng meanwhile has come through two tough battles with Egyptian opposition, recovering from 1-0 down against Aly Abou Eleinen and holding off Youssef Soliman.
