Day One: Preview & How to Watch Live

The GillenMarkets London Squash Classic gets underway today as 32 players will descend on Coolhurst LT & SC to compete for round two places in the Gold level event.

There is plenty of home interest on day one as 15 English players will look to benefit from the home advantage to book a place on the all glass court at London’s famous Alexandra Palace. Jasmine Hutton and Mille Tomlinson open play on court 1 at 14:00 whilst Lucy Turmel faces Canada’s Nicole Bunyan on court 2 at the same time.

Adrian Waller is next onto court as he takes on Juan Camilo Vargas, which will be followed by another all-England clash between Katie Malliff and Grace Gear. An entertaining match up is scheduled for 16:15 on court 1 as USA’s Timothy Brownell will face the always dangerous and former Canary Wharf Classic champion Fares Dessouky.

Alicia Mead and wildcard Declan James will look to score wins over Egyptian duo Mariam Metwally and Mohamed ElSherbini as the evening session begins whilst a third all-England affair closed play on court 1 as Simon Herbert and Nathan Lake will square off to compete the round two line ups.

As well as Turmel, George Parker and Nick Wall are the other home hopefuls on court 2 as they take on Auguste Dussourd and Abdulla Al-Tamimi.

Play starts at 14:00 (GMT) with both courts streamed live on SQUASHTV.
